Maruti Swift is one of the most popular and economical hatchbacks produced by MSIL in the country. It is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. There are several trims available, of which, Maruti Swift LDI is their entry level diesel variant. The company has launched its facelifted version with a view to improve its sales further. This includes a few added features like a distinctive bumper, tweaked radiator grille and wheel caps on the outside. In terms of interiors, it gets 60:40 split folding rear seat and new fabric upholstery. Besides this, its wraparound premium trims further gives a plush appeal to its interiors. This Maruti Swift LDI variant is blessed with a spacious cabin that gives enough leg and head room to its occupants. This entry level trim is bestowed with an efficient suspension system that keeps the vehicle well balanced at all times. The front axle is assembled with a McPherson strut and a torsion beam is used for the rear one. The braking system is quite reliable wherein, its front wheels are fitted with a set of ventilated disc brakes , while sturdy drum brakes are used for the rear ones. On the other hand, it comes with a rack and pinion based electronic power steering system that has tilt adjustment function. This also supports a minimum turning circle of 4.8 meters, which makes handling quite easy on city roads.
