The company has launched the latest version of Mahindra Scorpio and has named it as “New Generation Scorpio”. This rugged SUV features new hydroformed chassis along with the same ladder frame. In terms of technicalities, its engine is paired with a new five speed manual transmission gear box, which is much smoother than before. It is available in five variants with two diesel engine options. Among these, Mahindra Scorpio S10 7 Seater is the top end trim in its model series. It is powered by the same 2.2-litre, mHawk diesel power plant that has a displacement capacity of 2179cc. The manufacturer has modified its exteriors as well as interiors for attracting the buyers. It is designed with an aggressive frontage, which includes new headlight cluster with projector headlamps, revamped body colored bumper and a bold radiator grille with a few body colored slats. Braking and Handling:

This variant has a rack and pinion based steering wheel, which is tilt adjustable and makes handling effortless. Its front wheels are equipped with a set of caliper type ventilated disc brakes, while the rear wheels get drum brakes. This braking mechanism is augmented by anti lock braking system . On the other hand, the front axle is assembled with a double wishbone type of mechanism with independent front coil spring, whereas the rear axle is fitted with a multi-link coil spring suspension with anti roll bar. This suspension mechanism is further assisted hydraulic double acting telescopic shock absorbers.
