Maruti Ignis is a small car for a small family. Maruti Ignis is my first car. I just finished my 2nd free service. The car is small and easy to handle and very comfortable to drive. I'm a professional working in Bangalore, and people who are in Bangalore knows the traffic block and path hole issues they face. I'm using Ignis for my daily commute and it doesn't feel frustrating in traffic. You can easily handle it in traffic situations and you will get the power to overtake other cars fast. 17 to 19 is the average mileage I'm getting now in city rides. But on highways, it gives around 22. That's a great number for a person who is driving his first car. Interior space is suited for a 4 member family but when added one person it gets a little cramped in the back seat. Legroom is pretty good. But depends on the person sitting back. If you are around 6 feet in height there won't be any issues. But it's not that comfortable if you are more than 6. I liked the interior of the car. It looks little retro-modern inside. When I see the dashboard it reminds me vintage radio. The main concern on users is the cost of maintenance, regarding this I feel it won't make a hole in your pocket. Recently I had a minor accident. I have to change the front left side fender. I thought I need to ask for insurance but it only costs me 6k for a new replacement. My conclusion is that its a great car for a small family. You can use this for long trips and city traffic rides. You won't regret buying it.
