India's second largest auto manufacturer Hyundai Motors markets eight passenger car models across segments - Eon, Santro, i10, i20, Accent, Verna, Sonata and Santa Fe. Hyundai launched i10 after the huge success of Hyundai Santro in the Indian car market. The i10 is the premium hatchback from Hyundai which has been placed between Hyundai Santro and the phased out Hyundai Getz. The i10 has a superb styling feature with some standard feature which makes it a premium class car. The car comes with i-Relax front seats, front and rear power windows with child lock, AC with heater, 4 speed blowers and many more features. Hyundai i10 has tachometer, electronic trip meter, electronic odometer, low fuel warning lamp, digital clock etc, as standard features incorporated in it. Hyundai i10 Era has aggressive and sporty look. Front fascia of the car has round headlamps, wider air intake, central radiator grille with a single horizontal chrome slat with centrally positioned Hyundai logo and has a stylish bumper. Side roof small antenna on the car gives it a very sporty look. Other features of the interior are USB port and AUX connection, two-tone dashboard, silver casing for audio, a digital fuel meter and an up shift-down shift indicator, etc. The Hyundai i10 is equipped with safety features like seat belts with pretensioner, auto-unlocking doors which automatically unlock on sensing an impact and a high-mounted rear stop lamp. The BSIV compliant iRDE2 engine has a spectacular fuel mileage. The Hyundai i10 Era comes in champagne gold, deep ocean blue, sleek silver, virtual yellow, blushing red, alpine blue, oyster grey and electric red color.

Exteriors

Hyundai i10 Era has beautiful clear headlamps that stretch to the rear of the front end which give it the best look. The front grille is in chrome which adds a finishing touch to the appearance of the car. But the rear end of the car is not as good as the front look. The tempting facades just fall short to get goes together by with the rear end of the car. The use of black plastic moulding in the front, on the sides and at the rear makes it look like a pleasurable spectacle for the eyes. The wheel size of the car is too small in comparison to its large vehicle size. The look of the car is fresh and appealing in the premium hatchback segment car. The front headlights, centre radiator grille with horizontal chrome slat, bumper and triangular front fog lamps have been added to the i10 Era to enhance its looks. The compact antenna on the side roof does make the car look like a new machine altogether. The waistline of the variant is in black color. The i10 Era comes with full wheel covers. The exterior dimensions of the i10 are: length- 3,565mm, width- 1,595mm and height- 1,550mm . The car has a wheelbase of 2,380mm along with a ground clearance of 165mm. The minimum turning radius of the Hyundai i10 Era is of 4.75 meters .

Interiors

Hyundai i10 Era has a spacious interior with new cabin features. The two-tone interior gives it a look of a premium class car with superior automotive divisions and knobs that have an accurate effect on the interior of the car. The placement of the gear-shift lever housed on the centre console of the cabin is outstanding. The dual tone dashboard has tachometer, low fuel warning lamp, electronic petrol fuel indicator and gearshift indicator placed on it. The i10 Era has folding rear seats to increase the luggage space of the car. The additional interior features present in the car are vanity mirror, front room lamp, cup holders, front door map pocket and deluxe floor console with power outlet . There is enough space to carry things right from your wallet or cell phone to bottles in the car. Although the luggage space is too good but the deep loading-lip can be a problem while unloading the baggage from the vehicle. The rear seat has better leg room in comparison to other hatchback cars. Hyundai i10 offers generous headroom of 990mm (Front) and 940mm (Rear) with the front legroom of 1190mm (max.) and 1115mm (min) with the rear knee room of 819mm (max.) and 640mm (min.) and with the shoulder room of 1225mm. the boot space of the car is of 225 litres.

Engine Performance

The Hyundai i10 Era has an in-line petrol engine of 1.1 litre 68bhp iRDE2 (Intelligent Responsive Drive Engine) which is capable to churn out 68bhp of output at 5500rpm and give a maximum torque of 99Nm at 4500rpm. The 1.1 litre 1086cc engine has four cylinders along with three valves per cylinder. The iRDE2 petrol engine is matted to five speed manual transmission with SOHC valve configuration and comes with front wheel drive option. The Hyundai i10 Era can attain a top speed of 149kmph with the 1.1 litre 68bhp iRDE2 petrol engine. The acceleration of the car from 0 to 100kmph is in 15.5 seconds which is fair enough with the engine being used by the car. The Hyundai i10 Era gives a mileage of 15.4kmpl when it is being used in city. At the same time, on the highways, the car gives a 19.2kmpl of mileage. The fuel used in the Hyundai i10 Era is petrol and the car complies with Bharat Stage IV emission norms of the country. The fuel tank capacity of Hyundai i10 Era is of 35 litres. The Hyundai i10 Era has a 155/80 R13 size of tyres which have a better grip on road. The radial type tyre helps the car to be stable while driving in speed. Braking Handling

The Hyundai i10 Era comes with McPherson Strut with coil spring in the front wheels while the rear end tyres of the car have been coupled with torsion beam axle with coil spring. The Hyundai i10 Era comes with McPherson Strut with torsion type roll control device in the front suspension and the rear suspension of the car has coil spring with three link rigid axle and isolated trailing arm. The Hyundai i10 Era has hydraulic shock absorbers .

Safety Features

In terms of safety, the Hyundai i10 Era does not come with many features. The car comprises of day and night inside rear view mirror for better visibility. Central lock in the car is for all the five doors. The Hyundai i10 Era comes with engine immobilizer in it.
