I purchased the MG Astor ZS 1.5 VTI CVT Savvy Red from Surat, Gujarat, 18 months ago, and I was told that it would provide a mileage of 10-12 kilometers per liter in city use. However, it only gives about 6-7 kilometers per liter, which is nearly half of what was promised. I believe that even a 4-liter petrol V8 engine car would offer better mileage than this. Despite multiple complaints, the workshop staff conducted trials by driving the car for just 10-30 kilometers (a mix of city and highway driving), then refilling the tank and calculating a mileage of around 10 kilometers per liter. When I questioned this impractical method of calculating mileage, they insisted that this was the only way to do it. Even the higher authorities seemed disinterested and tried to avoid addressing the issue. I would caution potential buyers to be careful when considering this product, as their salespeople make false claims to sell this subpar product, and once a customer buys it, they must bear these unexplained fuel expenses.
