The All-New జాజ్ - The best premium hatchback!
I bought my Jazz i-DTEC 9 months ago after weeks of consideration and comparison, and I'm glad I picked it! This is one of the best-looking premium hatchbacks in the market right now, with the performance to match the looks. Here are my observations as a proud owner: Looks: The first thing you will notice is how elegantly the car is poised, and the aerodynamic shape. The black front grille looks like it was based on the City (but without all the chrome), and this gives the car a very rich look. The rear door has a chrome strip which gives the car a unique look. The LED taillights are Volvo V40 lookalikes, and the accent lines on the sides add to the look. The overall feel is of a sporty, young car rather than a family hatchback. Interior: The dashboard is almost the same as the one in the new City, and that itself makes the car 'premium'. The doors open to 90 degrees, so getting in and out is easy. The 3 spoke steering wheel with music controls, and the levers for the wiper and lights are high quality. There are cup holders and cubbyholes all over the place ' The dashboard, the center console and the doors. One of the cup holders is near the AC on the driver's side, so a cool drink stays cool and accessible at the same time. The AC is quite powerful, and the flow easily reaches the back seats despite there being no rear AC vents. A center armrest would have been amazing (the City has one), but there are armrests available in the market intended for the international variant (Honda Fit), so getting one of these is no hassle. Adjustable headrests would have been nice too. As far as safety is concerned, my variant (S) does not offer ABS or airbags. The legroom and headroom are amazing, and are what made me fall for the Jazz in the first place. For a hatchback, the rear legroom is amazing. The seats are comfortable enough, and the driver's seat has height adjustment. The boot space is also quite adequate, almost to the point of matching a compact sedan! Performance: The Jazz diesel has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-DTEC diesel engine. Even though it is a bit noisy, it levels out a bit on the highways, and when the music is running, you barely notice it. It is just the right car to drive in the city ' Easy to maneuver, easy gear shift, and decent pickup in case you miraculously get to an empty patch of road in rush hour traffic. The mileage is the best in class, and I constantly get around 17-18 kmpl (In the city, AC always on) and this is no small feat. On the highways, I've pushed the car to 170 kmph, and only released the throttle because I ran out of road ' The Jazz is easily up to the task, and the impact is hardly felt inside. My conclusion: This is a car that gives you the best of all worlds ' Mileage, performance, comfortable drives in both city and highways, comparatively easy on the pocket, yet a brand that gives you pride. My final word ' If you want a car that is both sporty and fuel efficient, you don't have to look any further.
