If Ford thinks it can sell the EcoSport SUV at any price above the Rs 7 lakh mark, then It is mistaken and is going to get an unpleasant surprise. Mahindra XUV500 is priced at Rs 12.2 lakh and proves to be a worthy competitor for cars both below and above its category. Ford needs to rethink its pricing strategy if it really wants to sell a 1.0-litre engined SUV. Having said That, I would like to add that the exterior and interiors of this car are the best in its class as Maruti Suzuki is a poor and distant threat.
