My First Love !

After a lot of stretching the limits, days of self convincing and loads of market research and test drives, I ended up at the doors of Competent Maruti in Lajpat Nagar Area of Delhi to handover the booking of my first love - the Maruti Ciaz SHVS Diesel. Well, the decision wasn't easy and so wasn't the two week wait for my car to be ready - but every bit of it was completely worth it.The day of delivery arrived and I was ready with my family to receive the beauty and oh boy what a way for her to arrive as the engine roared as she drove up from the dealer's basement before she showed a first glimpse - a total show stopper by all means ! I can't say anything else but that I had goosebumps as I saw her for the first time - what beautiful lustre from the glistening dignity brown color and what a beauty I had in front of me. My hands trembled as I got into the driver's position - well it was my first own car, if I have not mentioned. 1st month of ownership:The first month was so crazy that I could just not get my hands off the beauty and found every reason to drive her out - I was getting her accessorized on my birthday if that gives you the scale of love I have for her. Compliments pouring in from all who saw and sat in my car were taken by me in all pride, just like a mother does when her child wins a race.I am no expert here, but have been quite a crackhead for cars since childhood and I will try to encapsulate a quick review about the important parameters, we judge a car on.Looks:Well, this is the most beautiful looking product from the house of Maruti (until Baleno arrived) and surprisingly it has given the Honda City and Hyundai Verna quite a run for their money.Space:You just can't stop hearing about the loads and oodles of space in the cabin, everytime a new person gets inside. Truly an island in itself, this beauty really allows you to feel like you're inside a 1 BHK.Drive:Well, if I compare the 1.2 Diesel of CIAZ with the 1.6 of the Verna, that would not be a fair competition. However, the Ciaz offer you a pretty comfortable drive, with great road presence, good steering control and fair amount of power generated by the diesel mill. If not for the enthusiasts, this surely is going to satisfy the masses which look for something that gives them a good sense of control when behind the wheel.Cost of Maintenance:Well @20kmpl in the city and about 22 (these are the figures practically given by my car, ARAI claims a whopping 28.3kmpl) on highways this is the most frugal C Segment Sedan you're going to find on the Indian road.Apart from that - Maruti's have always been known for their cheap cost of maintenance and this one stands nothing different.My word:If you're looking for a car that's great on performance, looks pretty good, provides the Maruti kind of promise then go for the Maruti Ciaz without another thought !
