I am writing my experience with the all new Mahindra XUV500 here. I purchased this awesome SUV after test driving Safari Storme, Scorpio and others. At last, my choice was XUV500 because of its amazing pickup quality as well as drivability. Other than this, its design and inner fit and finish delighted me a lot. Driving the XUV500 has always been a sheer pleasure. The way it behaves on highways with high speeds is awesome. Mahindra introduced the first XUV500 in 2011, received some flagship changes in 2015. Now in 2018, it has been updated again with added features, revised styling, and updated powertrains. The updated XUV500 gets refreshed radiator grille with mesh motif and chrome inserts. The headlights have been improved and get projectors along with LED DRLs. At the rear, the tailgate has been given a comprehensive update while the tail lights are shaped as triangular with LED signature lighting. The cabin of the XUV500 2018 remains as practical as ever. I have driven the previous version and the driver-oriented nature impressed me a lot. The layout of dashboard remains unchanged. Mahindra has used the fine quality material for plush looks, while the top part of the dash is wrapped in black leather which makes it look rich in every sense. Features included are 6-way adjustable driver?s seat, tyre pressure monitoring, automatic climate control, auto headlamps, reversing camera, sunroof and 7.0-inch touchscreen unit among others. Specifications too have changed, mHawk diesel motor is tweaked while the 2.2L petrol engine remains the same. So with styling changes, premium interiors and additional power on board, Mahindra has added a good dose of freshness in the XUV500. This car has always been in a value game, offering more for less. And with fresh updates, the SUV has become more appealing. Driving since a month on every other terrain and till date, my experience has been awesome with this car. It?s the best SUV money can buy under Rs. 20 lakhs.
