How is the performance of Hyundai EON?

Hyundai EON is a B segment hatch and undoubtedly best looker in the segment. The car houses an 814cc, 3 cylinder, 9 valve engine which makes a decent power output of 56bhp at 5500rpm with a peak torque of 76Nm at 4000rpm. The three pot engine of the car has exactly the same architecture as the Santro’s 1.1-litre iRDE engine; 3-valves per cylinder SOHC with a cylinder lesser. The engine has been refined to give ample performance and it does its duty so well in cities, but when you gear it up near 100kmph it gets vocal and jerky. Vibration is an inherited issue with 3 cylinder engines but Hyundai has managed to considerably balance it. However, there is some vibe at an extent. The car is good strictly for city rides but not for long rides and highway for sure and is far lesser than its key competitor Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 when it comes to the engine and performance.
