I was looking for a diesel affordable hatchback and naturally like most Indians my shortlist had largely Maruti vehicles. But when I looked the specs of Figo diesel and i saw 25-30% increment in power compared to the Swift diesel. This made me to test drove the car and come out mighty impressed. I bought Titanium+ and the best feature it has is the 6 airbags, which no one offer at that price point and at that time. Solid built , reassuring thud sound all gave confidence in the car. Car can smoke any car under 10 lac with ease, it can even give tough time to performance oriented hatches like Polo gt, tdi, Baleno RS while giving a great mileage of 20 kmpl over all. But people will say bad about service, parts etc. But you have to personally check the service interval and compare it to any hatch in this segment, you would certainly feel this more affordable than say a "Swift". People who say resale value can go with what they want, but for enthusiast and people who enjoy driving and cannot extend their budget, Figo will suit perfect. Cons are lack of some features like touchscreen infotainment, keyless go, push button start etc..but the upcoming facelift is gonna change all those and would make this package a near "perfect one".
