Extended Review - proud owner of Ameo Highline AT TDI

Exterior The car looks decent, not stylish - best suited for family, has 15 inch alloy wheels which has tyre of size 185/60 R15, Paint and body quality is excellent(not like maruti suzuki), Stock headlamp are decent enough for cruising around 120 kmph at night.Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The best interior in the segment. The materials used in the car doestn't feel cheap like Maruti. It has rain sensing wipers, cruise control, rear ac vent, armrest for front passengers, 5" tochscreen system, big glove box(not huge), height and reach adjustabble flat-bottomed steering wheel(Even Ciaz dont have that), very comfortable front seats(rear seats are okay not that great), etc.... Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is where even honda city diesel can't beat this car. the diesel engine is noisy outside but, the noise wont enter the cabin till 100 kmph - The sound insulation was done very well. If you love to rev hard and drive most of the time, this is the car for you. Some fools say car doesn't have good pickup in drive mode(Automatic transmission cars) - To them, Drive mode is for relaxed driving whereas Sports mode is for reving hard. But truly, I have always used drive mode which is sufficient to keep most of the cars in the highway behind me(once I chased a Toyota Corolla Altis and it felt like a baby in fornt of my car). Again, Gearbox is the best in the segment - Do some reaserch about DSG, you will know. Mileage I get around 19 in highway when cruising at 100 knph with AC on. When i do sppeds at around 140 - 160 it drops to 15 -16. Ride Quality & Handling In the diesel car suspension is setup in a stiffer way as they say in many reviews. when your car enters a pothhole you will feel it inside the cabin. In highway it's a different story, you will have confidence of doing 100 kmph in curves. the car feels planted. You won't feel tired. handling is unbelievable - Take a test drive and give it a spin you will know. Final Words The best value for money car in budget sedan segment In India right now. no Dzires, no Elite i 20's can match the performance and quality of this car. Areas of improvement Can improve on knee room for back passengers. Next gen car can be made stylish like baleno's or elite i 20's. Armrest can be provided to rear passengers. Nothing else to point out, Kudos to volkswagen for making this Car.
