A masterpiece from Tata

I m using Nexon Diesel XZA+ for the past couple of months covered 3k kms. I'm very much impressed with the car. Didn't expect such a wonderful car from Tata's stable(sorry if I m being rude). I was in search for compact automatic SUV's taking test drives of all the cars. Drove the Ford Ecosport liked the Petrol turbocharged gearbox it really drives amazing. Pretty much liked the car but the space at the back disappointed me. Then drove the Duster Diesel AMT, liked everything except the outdated interiors. Drove the costliest Creta liked everything except the price which was 17lakhs OTR didn't felt spending such a huge money on car. Then comes Nexon, I was under impression that definitely this will not be the car I'll be buying becos I may not be convinced to buy this but to my surprise it turned out quite opposite. I liked the car looks, handling, comfort, road presence, features, interior quality, sound system. I came out with a smile thinking how Tata had developed such a wonderful masterpiece. Went ahead and purchased it by spending 12.8 OTR single tone model. I'm pretty much happy with the performance till now. Following are the pros and cons. Pros: Ground clearance, build quality, all seats comfort, boot space, handling, features, amazing sound system, looks and value for money. Cons: Diesel AMT is good but not excellent like the ones when compared to Creta's Torque Converter ones. Head nodes can be felt. Minor niggles like little steering noise when drove with less speeds. Poor headight definitely needs an upgrade. Ride quality is not plush as Duster it can toss you around when driven over big potholes. Engine noise becomes quite audible during high speeds. Rear camera quality is poor. I can live with it witch All the above cons with the price that I?m paying. You can't expect everything with such a price tag, it is such a wonderful value for money car. Recently I had a long drive from BLR-Kodai-Munnar-Coimbatore trip covering 1500 kms. After the 5 days trip didn't feel any fatigue or any pain in leg or back. We were total 2 adults with 2 Kids. No one complained anything about the ride quality. Definitely you need to consider if you are going for a compact SUV. One final word 'Hats off to Tata'. Now the car comes with 5 star Global NCAP ratings. Kudos Andy all the best for Indian manufacturer in their upcoming launches.
