    CVT produces smoother emissions because of its ability to better control the engines speed range. Many drivers also report that the ride is very smooth and hassle-free. However, driving a CVT may feel very different than a traditional automatic transmission because you do not feel the engine accelerating or shifting. but these transmissions are more expensive to build but are reliable and pleasant to drive. Whereas AT is just a manual gear system with a clutch. AMT gearbox are much similar to a manual gearbox in the sense that they use a clutch, have proper gears and can be jerky when the gear is shifted. if you need to know which is better then for better mileage AT is best whereas for smooth and claim drive then CVT is meant for you.
